<< Psalm 46:4 >>

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

Ezekiel 47:1 Then he brought me back to the door of the house; and behold, water was flowing from under the threshold of the house toward the east, for the house faced east. And the water was flowing down from under, from the right side of the house, from south of the altar.
Zechariah 14:8 And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.

Psalm 46:4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High.

"Public servants say, 'What greater service we could render if only we had a little more money and a little more power'. but the truth is that outside of its legitimate function, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector."
-President Ronald Reagan

"if Mr. Obama says so, it must be true."

"information is a distraction"

it seems everything they promised about health care, energy, financial reform, stimulus is turning into a bald faced lie. But they keep playing it with a poker face. It'll be an interesting coming six months....

Do you have any suggestions besides spending other people's money to do this? As in, things you will do yourself? Besides voice support for legislation that spends other people's money?

I wish more people understood there are only two forces that can reduce prices: competition and economies of scale.

It's just a string of government creating more "solutions" to try and solve problems it created.

No, the point of Obamacare was to give the established players leverage over the upstarts. The Democrats made a deal with the devil, so to speak. The medical industrial complex would allow the Democrats to pass universal health care, a long time Democratic goal and a popular idea, if the Democrats made sure the established players would face no serious competition.

We are at the cusp of a revolution in health care. Consumer choice and transparency are the major trends in every industry. If left to the market, health care will follow along those same lines. Therefore, the established players are scared. They want government protection and have the money and influence to buy it.

there has been no free market in healthcare since Lyndon Johnson's Great Society. Medicare and Medicaid, even before ObamaCare, represented nearly 50% of medical spending in the U.S. Anybody who works in healthcare, as I have, knows that Medicare is the price-setting agent in the healthcare market. Their price lists are the basis of all reimbursement--Medicaid pays a lower percentage of Medicare rates, and private insurance pays a higher percentage--but it's all based on Medicare.

What we have had until ObamaCare is a hybrid market that combines subsidized demand, third-party payments that are divorced from consumption, quality, or price, and politicized coverage. Now we just have more government intervention.

In all of my scientific studies, I learned that when an experiment failed, one didn't hope that conducting it on a larger scale would cause it to succeed. Politics seems not to be an empirical activity, however, or a science.

If you read what happened in yesterday's primaries, the Democratic party seems to be splitting into two pieces. One part will turn conservative on economic issues to save their hide. The other part will turn more radical and call for a socialist state.

Obama is in the middle. Which way will he go? I am betting the Hugo Chavez route. You can see the signs everywhere. His ego continues to grow. He has attempted to cut off media outlet which do not present him as the savior. Every speech is talking down to the public. His appointees are inept but loyal (Holder, for instance). The signs are all there.

The left is crowing about the shrinking of the GOP to 25% of the registered voters. But, look what is happening to their own party. The next logical step in US politics is to see major races won by non-aligned candidates. That will become THE threat to Obama. He can trash the GOP all day, but there will be no 'leader' to trash of the Independents. No one person to demonize and to turn MSNBC and MoveOn to attack. Look for more legislation to prevent Independents from gaining ballot space.

The only thing that will prevent the US from becoming the next France (and then Greece) will be the marginization of the left wing socialists, and their leader Obama.

These consumers will gradually be coerced economically into government exchanges and then single payer. Repeal ObamaCare - we need to reject socialism/Marxism in this country and turn 180 degrees toward a market solution without subsidies or mandates of any kind.
